Regional Planner
The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC), an EEO Employer, is a coastal Georgia based organization serving ten counties and thirty-five cities with comprehensive planning and development services. Our Planning and Government Services Department is announcing a new job opening for a Regional Planner. The Regional Planner will work closely with local governments on advanced, highly complex professional planning and government services activities. The Regional Planner will:
- Prepare local comprehensive plans
- Prepare regional comprehensive plan
- Implement comprehensive plans through planning tools
- Provide staff support to local governments
- Serve as liaison between CRC and external organizations
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or related field.
- Minimum two years of planning related experience; graduate degree may be substituted for experience.
- Interdisciplinary knowledge of urban and regional planning.
- Knowledge of Georgia planning law.
- Proficient in interpreting federal and state regulations.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365 software.
- Superior, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, solid organization skills, and self-motivated.
